“We must attract them by joy,"
-- so stated St. Katharine Drexel.
At Saint Katharine
Drexel School, it follows then, that
our focus will be the “FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT:"
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience,
Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness,
and Self-control.
At Saint Katharine
Drexel School, we will trust and connect with each
other, build relationships, recognize the strengths of
each individual and respect the dignity and uniqueness
of each individual.
As we
“Catch
The Spirit”
by
concentrating on the above, we hold that our priorities
will include:
-
becoming united as we hear the word, pray, sing, and
receive the Holy Eucharist;
-
receiving the Eucharist with reverence and
understanding;
-
praying for others
and ourselves;
-
serving others through opportunities and activities
to help our students, families and parish focus on a
specific Fruit of the Spirit for each month of
school;
-
preventing bullying;
-
using the best tools available to educate our
students in light of lifelong learning;
-
sharing our knowledge and skills with each other;
-
recognizing and addressing different learning styles
and instruction through a variety of means and
methods;
-
continuing the accreditation work of SPA and WRISA
as required for Year I (Internal Study); and
-
promoting SKDS in the community.

In all of these, we reflect upon those
Christ-centered beliefs, values, and
attitudes that help us accomplish our goals
as we journey through this educational
adventure. |
