Home & School Happenings:
We are looking for folks willing to have fun as H&S officers for 2010-2011. Please send note to school “Attention H&S” with your interest. This committee is a blast, a great way to meet really nice people, and stay connected. You won’t regret it. Nominations due by the April 21st Home & School Association Meeting. Elections will be in May.

Home & School Bylaws Revision and Vote
The Bylaws have not been amended in many years. We are in the process of discussing and revising. The proposed revisions will be discussed at the business meeting prior to the curriculum presentation on April 7 and then will be voted-on at the next regularly scheduled meeting on April 21.

Important Date Change
Curriculum Presentation/Dinner/Association Meeting has been rescheduled. (The March 17 date has been cancelled.)
The new date is April 7 – 6 p.m. – Maple Avenue Gym. Find out first hand what your kids are learning. This year, the Fine Arts and Physical Education curricula are being presented by the teachers. Free dinner will be provided. This is an adult-only event. No child care available. An informational sheet and RSVP came home in the Family Folder. A count is needed for dinner. Please return RSVP to school by March 19.

April Family Fun Night - Friday April 16th, from 6pm-730pm.
A Swimming Party at the YMCA! Mark your calendars, more information will follow. This is always a great event!
 
Bowlathon 2010 - Friday, May 14 4:30 & 7 p.m. Tower Lanes
All S.K.D.S. families and friends are invited to join in the fun! There is bowling, pizza, raffles, door prizes and more!

Our younger bowlers will occupy the lanes from 4:30-6:30 p.m. There will be a minimal entry fee per bowler of $8 which includes two games of bowling, shoes, all-you-can eat pizza and soda.

We ask that the students collect bowling pledges. Two students with the highest pledge amounts will win prizes. Can you beat last year’s top pledges? $317 and $125!

Our more “experienced” bowlers will bowl three games from 7 -10 p.m. for an entry fee of $15 per bowler. There will be a friendly competition (for prizes) between the men and women during the first two evening games, raffles and more!

Home & School Dessert Day - Once a month a dessert is provided to all students (those who take hot or cold lunch) courtesy of the Home & School Association.
