For Parents
Parents are a
child's first and most important teachers.
At St.
Katharine Drexel School, we believe
successful student learning involves a partnership between parents and
teachers. Parental involvement in a child’s education is not only
encouraged, but expected at St. Katharine Drexel School. Our parents
help expand the learning that happens in the classroom to include its application
outside of school.
The quality of our
school is largely due to the contributions of our parents and their
volunteerism. By sharing their time, talents and resources, our parents
strengthen the St. Katharine Drexel Team.
In this section
under "Helping Hands,"
you will find a wide array of volunteer opportunities available to
parents. Tutoring, joining the Home & School Association, and
serving on school committees are a few of the many ways to volunteer at SKDS. In addition to the resources found on this site, parents are
encouraged to contact their child’s teachers for more information about
volunteer opportunities within the classroom.
To volunteer or to
request information, contact the person(s) listed for each area of
interest to you. Thank you for your contribution and for helping us build
a brighter future for our students! |
