Pursuing Master's in Education
Kayla Bloohm started teaching Physical Education and Middle School Health at SKDS in 2021, and in 2022 she added on the title of Athletic Director. She graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and is currently working on her Masters in Education. Kayla has taken her love of sports and physical activity and made it into a career, first working at the YMCA of dodge county in youth sports and then here at SKDS teaching. Originally from Mayville Wisconsin, she still lives there today with her husband of 3 years, her 2 year old son, and 2 dogs. She loves her family and spending time with them outdoors, playing games, having cookouts, and having regular campfires. She is very active in her town's athletics programs by coaching Volleyball, Basketball, and participating in slow pitch softball. Kayla didn't know that teaching was going to be the path she would take, but is very glad she took a leap of faith and landed here at SKDS. She has been working hard to make P.E., Health, our Athletics programs fun and motivating for the students. With love, kindness, encouragement, and compassion, she hopes to make a difference in our students' lives and teach them things they will carry with them the rest of their lives. She is so blessed to be apart of the SKDS family and is excited to see what this school year will bring!
