Mrs. Crombie
Mrs.
Jennifer Crombie has been with St. Katharine Drexel School since 2003.
After three years as a substitute teacher, she was hired for a full-time
teaching position in 2006. Mrs. Crombie teaches the second grade students.
Prior to her years at SKDS, Mrs. Crombie taught sixth grade for six years
at St. Jerome School in Columbus.
When asked why she became a teacher, Mrs. Crombie said, “I enjoy working
with children. I love to see how much they grow and change during the
school year.” Mrs. Crombie said her favorite things about teaching are,
“Getting to know my students really well in the nine months we spend
together and the wonderful people I work with.”
Mrs. Crombie was born in Madison and grew up in Beaver Dam. She attended
St. Peter School, from which she graduated in 1982. After high school,
Mrs. Crombie lived in Madison and attended Edgewood College. She now
lives in Beaver Dam. In her spare time, Mrs. Crombie
loves to read, sew, and embroider.
Mrs. Crombie’s words of advice for students: “Your attitude is more
important than your abilities.”
Her favorite quotation: “It is not our abilities that define us, but our
choices.”
