Mr. DiPietro

Mr. Matthew DiPietroMr. Matthew DiPietro teaches Instrumental Music here at St. Katharine Drexel School. Mr. DiPietro joined us this year from Neenah and Menasha, Wisconsin, where he completed his student teaching.

When asked why he became a teacher, Mr. DiPietro said, “I really enjoy music and it is exciting to show people new things.  I’ve had some very inspiring teachers in my life who have had a passion for what they teach. They helped me to always do my best and I hope to do the same for my students.”

Mr. DiPietro really enjoys teaching music.  As he puts it, “Working with and getting to know students is very rewarding and a lot of fun.  I feel so lucky that I get to make music with great people every day.”

Mr. DiPietro is originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, where his parents, younger brother, and fiancėe all currently live.  In his free time, Mr. DiPietro loves playing his French horn, whether it is at church, in the Beaver Dam Area Orchestra or in the Appleton City Band.  He enjoys being outdoors and being active, and spending time with family and friends is important to him.

Mr. DiPietro’s advice for students:  “Be respectful of others, have an open mind and do your best!  Middle school is very exciting, so get as much out of it as you can (oh yeah, and practice 15 minutes every day…).”

Favorite quotations from Mr. DiPietro:

“All things with time and practice”

"Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall."

"The man who says he can and the man who says he can't are both right."
