Ms. Bethany Schmidt has been with
SKDS since 2007. She teaches Health and Physical Education to students
from Kindergarten through eighth grade. Ms. Schmidt is originally from
Beaver Dam, and she enjoys giving back to the Beaver Dam community.
Why did Ms. Schmidt become a teacher? She says, “Because I love being
around kids. They have so much energy and enthusiasm! I want to help
improve the health and lifestyles of today’s youth to make them
healthier and more active.” She enjoys making physical education fun
for all ages and believes in active participation with her students. As
one second grade student said, “Ms. Schmidt always plays fun games with
us.”
Words of advice from Ms. Schmidt:
“Be respectful of your teachers and peers and you will have a fabulous
year! Have fun!”
In her spare time,
she enjoys indoor and outdoor volleyball, rollerblading, basketball,
reading, karaoke and spending time with her family and friends.
Ms. Schmidt’s
favorite thing about her job: “Wearing wind pants and t-shirts or
sweatshirts all day long! Playing games all day is fun too!"
