BDUSD Families:

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.  The health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff and the community as a whole is our top priority.

This communication is to highlight updates regarding this evolving situation.

Food Service

We will be providing free meals to anyone 18 years old or younger during the closure.

Sunday, March 15 Update

Good Evening,

St. Katharine Drexel School was originally scheduled to have class on Monday and Tuesday of this week. That has been changed effective today. There will be no school for students on Monday and Tuesday. The new schedule is as follows:

Monday, March 16th: No school for students; all faculty will report at regular time; all families are asked to come to school during regular school hours, to collect the necessary materials/supplies in order for students to be able to continue learning during this extended school closure. The school building will be open to families from 7:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Tuesday, March 17th: No school for students; Faculty will report at regular time until ?12 pm to finalize planning for digital/distance learning.

Wednesday, March 18th: No school for students; Staff not required to report.

Thursday, March 19th: First digital/distance learning day for students/staff.

La escuela St. Katharine Drexel originalmente tenía clases programadas para el Lunes y Martes de esta semana. Esto se ha cambiado hoy con efecto inmediato. No habrá clases para los estudiantes el Lunes y Martes. El nuevo horario es el siguiente:
Lunes 16 de Marzo: No hay clases para estudiantes; todo el plantel docente se reunirá a la hora regular; se les pide a todas las familias que vengan a la escuela durante el horario escolar regular, para recolectar los materiales / suministros necesarios para que los estudiantes puedan continuar aprendiendo durante este cierre prolongado de la escuela. El edificio de la escuela estará abierto a familias de 7:40 a.m. a 3:40 p.m.


Martes 17 de Marzo: No hay clases para estudiantes; el plantel docente se reunirá a la hora regular hasta las 12 pm para finalizar la planificación del aprendizaje digital / a distancia.


Miércoles 18 de Marzo: No hay clases para estudiantes; el plantel docente no está obligado a reportarse en la escuela.


Jueves 19 de Marzo: Primer día de aprendizaje digital / a distancia para estudiantes / plantel docente.

Dear St. Katharine Drexel Families,

The following is an update to the previously disseminated information on our plan for the next few weeks regarding the Coronavirus. Again, we will follow the BDUSD.

In accordance with the statewide order, all schools in Wisconsin will be closed Wednesday, March 18, with an anticipated reopening on Monday, April 6. The date of the reopening is subject to change and could very well be extended. Information will be shared as it becomes available. Please check the school website at www.skds.org for updates.

SKDS will be open on Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17. Details on instruction during the days of closure following the scheduled spring break are being determined and will be communicated when they are available.
