The culminating project was for the students to create a map of their room and include four riddles using cardinal and intermediate directions to help classmates find items on their map. I have linked several pictures of our gallery walk of students' maps. Students learned that giving accurate directions help others to find specific details.

Religion

During the month of October and leading up to All Saint's Day on November 1st, the third graders learn about a particular saint and  write a paragraph and riddle about their life. Below is a link to the letter explaining the project and a list of items you can use to help your child look like their saint for the presentation on November 1st at 2:30 pm.

Reading

Students are learning how to have a conversation where they build on each other's ideas. They generate new thinking and/or a more in-depth understanding to the stories we are reading. I have linked a few pictures of students involved in collaborative conversations.
