Hello! My name is Angel Clark and I am one of the Learning Support Coordinators at Saint Katharine Drexel School! I will be working with third grade through eighth grade students that need a little extra help with reading and writing. I love Saint Katharine Drexel School and Parish. The staff and students are so wonderful. In fact, both my children attended SKDS, and my husband and I believe they received the best education. SKDS prepared them well for high school and their college years.
I have worked at just about every school in Beaver Dam teaching and substitute teaching I am also a former Adjunct Professor for Cardinal Stritch University and Marian University. However, my preference is working with younger children.
Since the 5th grade, I wanted to become a teacher. However, when college came, I signed up for Business Administration. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in business with a Marketing Emphasis from UW-Stevens Point. So trust me, I do my best to market SKDS. I learned after working in business it just wasn’t the right fit. So after two years of being a bill collector, I decided to go back for my Master's Degree in Education at Edgewood College in Madison. I absolutely knew from the first class that this was what I was meant to do.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy a new-found sport, pickle ball, and kayaking. I love being outside surrounded by nature. We have a 30-acre prairie in front of our house, which we established in 1989. There are about 200 different Wisconsin native plants in it. In the summer months, I spend a lot of time in Northern Wisconsin. The lakes and trees in the Rhinelander area are so beautiful. I really enjoy swimming, boating and fishing.
Reading a good book is also a passion of mine. Sometimes I think that I wish I could erase my memory of some books just so I could read them for the first time all over again.
My favorite Bible verse is, “I will walk by faith even when I cannot see.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
